Selling Your Home the Tappe White Way!
“leading the way to your new home”

Eight steps to selling your home:

  1.  Meet with your Tappe White Realtor.
Finding an agent you can trust and rely upon is the first and most important step in the selling process. Tappe White Real Estate Services has made that search easier for you by only teaming with those agents who accurately reflect the purpose, mission, and vision of our organization.

Once you chose your Tappe White agent, an initial meeting prior to listing your home will provided much needed information to the agent concerning your needs and current situation. Laying a solid foundation makes the rest of the selling process much smoother.

  2.  Establish agreement as to representation.
Once you have met with your Tappe White agent and feel confident that he/she will well represent you in the selling process, and once the agent is able to gain an accurate understanding of your needs, an agreement should be established concerning expectations from both parties.

In order to sell your home in the timeframe you request, both parties must be committed to the effort. A listing agreement will signify that mutual commitment and will set the parameters for the relationship. Once a listing agreement is in place, your Tappe White agent will do everything in his/her power to to sell your home.

  3.  Price your house to sell.
A key element that must be considered when placing your house on the market is the selling price. The primary reason for houses sitting on the market for long periods of time is that they are typically priced inappropriately.

Your Tappe White agent will help you determine a price for your home that will represent the overall value of your home as compared to the current market. The price will also be determined by your time constraints.

  4.  Stage your house to sell.
Once your house is listed, you want to showcase it! Often times, minor improvements can make a major difference. Your Tappe White agent will advise you concerning these adjustments. He/she will be well trained concerning which improvements will be worth the investment. In staging a house, a little bit can go a long way.

  5.  Receive and consider offers.
When offers begin to roll in, and they will if priced correctly, your Tappe White agent will be there to advise you concerning your response. With his/her knowledge of the market, your Tappe White agent will help you determine which offers you should pursue. You will be at peace through the entire negotiation process, knowing that your agent is getting you the best price for your home.

  6.  Respond to contractual commitments with regard to the property.
If there are any repairs to the property or removals from the property, agreed to through commitment of contract, they will need to be completed as per the agreement.

  7.  Prepare for your move.
The good news is that your house has successfully sold. The challenging news is that you need to move. Hopefully, these arrangements are already in the works. If you are remaining in the DFW area or if you are moving to another part of the country, your Tappe White agent can help you in the buying process. Tappe White has relationships with agents, throughout the country, who share and represent our same commitment to excellence and personal service.

  8.  Close the transaction.
Closing is the final step in the selling process. Your Tappe White agent will do his/her best to make it the most rewarding!
